Haubstadt, Indiana (August 3, 2024)………Within a single highly eventful night of racing, Kevin Thomas Jr. worked himself all the way to the top of the USAC Indiana Sprint Week ProSource Passing Master standings entering the ISW series finale on Sunday, night August 4, 2024, at Bloomington Speedway.

On Saturday night alone, Thomas (Cullman, Ala.) passed a whopping 34 cars – 17 in the semi fand 17 in the feature.  Entering the evening, Thomas had passed 18 cars throughout the first five events of ISW, placing him in 13th place among all drivers.  Now he’s number one with 52 total positions gained and a single race remaining.

Thomas' on-track advancement at Tri-State came after his primary car was extensively injured during a qualifying accident.  Thomas returned to the track in a Rock Steady Racing backup car which he utilized to charge from 20th to 3rd in the semi, then lined up 24th for the feature where he proceeded to drive it across the finish line to 7th.

Shane Cottle (Kansas, Ill.) had dominated the standings since the opening night.  Now with 48 positions gained, he currently ranks second in the ISW Passing Master points behind Thomas.  Brady Bacon (Broken Arrow, Okla.) and Kyle Cummins (Princeton, Ind.) are each knotted up with 40 passes apiece.  Logan Seavey (Sutter, Calif.) is fifth best at the moment with 34 passes.

ProSource is rewarding the driver who advances the most total positions throughout NOS Energy Drink USAC Indiana Midget Week Presented By Honest Abe Roofing with a $500 bonus.  The Passing Master points encompass all heat races, C-mains, semi-feature and feature events.  Stevie Sussex (Tempe, Ariz.) was the champion in 2021 while Cottle captured the crown in both 2022 and 2023.

One event remains on the 2024 Indiana Sprint Week calendar with the finale at Bloomington Speedway set for Sunday night, August 4.
